<p>PURPOSE:To read respective bar code symbols by storing the output of an image sensor by means of the reflected light of one-dimensional, two-dimensional and multistage bar code symbols in synchronizing with scanning, and extracting a bar code so as to decode it. CONSTITUTION:A waveform processing circuit 7 consisting of an amplifier circuit 10 composed of an operational amplifier and the like, of a filter circuit 11 and a binarization circuit 12 amplifies the output signal 13 of the linear image sensor, binarizes it and time-sequentially stores it in a storage means 8 in synchronism with the scanning of a bar code reader. Here, the linear image sensor receives light reflected at the bar code symbol through a light-receiving lens and converts an image which is image-formed, into an electric signal. Thus, the one-dimensional, two-dimensional and multistage bar code symbols can be read by permitting a microprocessor 9 to extract and decode the bar code even if respective bar code sets are obliquely arranged as against the image sensor so that they do not come in sight at once.</p> |
