In the loom cam mechanism, to form the shed, an elastic action is applied by the ends (5A) of the pivot axis for the swing levers (1) against the fixed limits (9a) at the frame (9) during normal operation. The eccentrics are formed by two swing arms (10) to be given an angular movement by connections (13) on an arc profile before elastic distortion. The ends of the facing arms (10) carry the pivot axis, and swing on an axis (12) fixed to the frame (9). The flexible connections (13) are between the arms (10) and the frame, while the ends (5a) of the pivot axis slide laterally in the openings in the frame (9), at right angles to the guide line of the connections (13) on the arms (10), for the pivot axis to be displaced in a straight line.
