PURPOSE:To solve a problem needing a display device exclusive for the display of battery residual capacity and a problem hardly recognizing how much time the battery can be used since the residual capacity is displayed as a battery residual capacity. CONSTITUTION:A display device exclusively indicating battery residual capacity is not required since a battery pack 1 including a secondary battery 2, a detection circuit 3 detecting the residual capacity, a power supply terminal 4 and a residual capacity information output terminal 5 and a conversion circuit 6 and a control circuit 9 in a main body 11 are provided. Furthermore, the main body is provided with an arithmetic operation circuit 8 and a storage circuit 7 storing a current consumption in the standby state and in the talking state to indicate the residual capacity of the battery not in terms of the residual capacity but in terms of a time, then the remaining available time is displayed while being separated in the standby state and the talking state. Thus, how many hours the battery is available is recognized. |
