A fuel injection nozzle comprises a fuel inlet passageway 61 opening into a chamber 51 and arranged to aim a stream of fuel across a gap directly into the opening 69 of an outlet passageway 67 which in use injects fuel and air into an engine manifold, the chamber having at least one air inlet port 53 through which air is drawn in use by the fuel stream. The nozzle may enter an intake manifold downstream of a throttle valve and have its inlet ports connected to the inlet manifold upstream of the throttle valve.
