PURPOSE: To provide a method for image reproduction including a means for reproducing the incomplete DC part of data using the AC part of the data from one or plural detectors having a nonlinear characteristic in the array of detectors. CONSTITUTION: To perform the accurate DC reproducing of a signal from the nonlinear detector 119, output signals from two or more detectors 120 and 121 adjacent to the nonlinear detector 119 are used, and also the AC part of output signals from these same nonlinear detectors are used. Firstly, a DC part is separated from the AC part of the output signal. Data from the accumulators 122 and 123 of the output signals of the two detectors 120 and 121 adjacent to the nonlinear detector 119 is averaged by the averaging device 28 of the circuit of the nonlinear detectors and calculating an accurate DC reproducing value to the output signal. Thus obtained accurate DC reproducing value is combined with the AC part of the signal of the nonlinear detector 119 in paths 137 and 138.
