A construction unit for reinforced concrete bridges consists of two or more factory made main longitudinal steel beams (3) with their tops fixed to a steel deck which acts as shuttering for concrete. The main beams consist of welded steel sheets with diaphragms (9) resting on piers (10). At supports steel traverses span the full width of structure between the main beams. Available for railway bridges with reinforced concrete stiffeners, continuous or not, at lower level. Factory fittings include guardrail supports, drainage channels and road sign brackets. ADVANTAGE - Uses steel sheet and concrete mix with many factory made parts, considerable reduction in site work, cost effective.
