<p>PURPOSE:To make an error inconspicuous by reducing the level difference of a boundary between an error block and a peripheral block. CONSTITUTION:When an error which can not be corrected is generated in a reproduced output, an error detecting circuit 32 outputs an error flag to correcting operation circuits 48, 49. The circuits 48, 49 find a difference average in the vertical direction from the picture elements in two lines adjacent to an error block and find a difference average in the horizontal direction from picture elements in two columns adjacent to the error block and then find the correction value of each picture element in the error block from the difference averages in the horizontal and vertical directions and respective picture element positions in the error block. The error is made inconspicuous by using these correction values.</p> |
