PURPOSE:To obtain an electronic part feeder which is able to continuously execute a pitch-variable inserting operation within a range of insertable pitch, where an insertion pitch is variable over two times as long as the bending length of a lead wire. CONSTITUTION:Wheels 52 and 53 are made to rotate intermittently in the same direction by one pitch to feed an electronic part 51A provided with leads at a feed location. The lead wires of the fed electronic part 51A provided with leads are cut off by a movable edge 56 and a fixed edge 57, and an insertion guide 58 is made to descend to form the lead wires. At the same time, a lead- provided electronic part tape 51 is cut off by tape cutter movable edges 61 and 62 and tape cutter fixed edges 63 and 64. Cut tape tailings are discharged out with wastetape suction devices 65 and 66. Therefore, as no lead tailing is present after a part tape is fed, a receiving lever hardly interferes even if an insertion pitch is changed, so that an electronic part feeder of this design is able to continuously execute a pitch-variable inserting operation within a range of insertable pitch, where an insertion pitch is variable over two times as long as the bending length of a lead wire. |
