<p>PURPOSE:To attain high speed compression/restoration corresponding to a parameter type by selecting either of two kinds of realizing means of coding algorithm sets based on a parameter of JPEG compressed data. CONSTITUTION:A JPEG compression/restoration LSI1107 use a high speed memory 108 exclusively used for a JPEG compression/restoration LSI to compress and decode picture data at a high speed. When the conversion of expressed color element in noninterleaving is required, since the processing speed is decreased without use of lots of memory capacity at conversion, a CPU 105 uses a memory device 106 for the processing. When the condition of using the JPEG compression/restoration LSI1107 for high speed decoding is arranged the CPU 105 starts the JPEG compression decoding LSI1107 for restoration processing. When the compressed data include a parameter disable of restoration by the JPEG compression decoding LSI1107, the CPU 105 implements restorations processing. Thus, a general-purpose processor and the exclusive hardware are provided and they are used through selection.</p> |
