<p>PURPOSE:To obtain suitable motion detection in which leakage of a color signal component is prevented for the motion detection for one frame of a composite color television signal and a motion of a horizontal high frequency component of a luminance signal for one frame is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a motion for one frame is detected, the correlation of a picture in the horizontal direction and vertical direction is detected by a correlation detection circuit 9 to eliminate a color signal component, and when the correlation in the horizontal direction is at least intense, a horizontal band pass filter 5 passing the horizontal high frequency component is selected and when only the correlation in the vertical direction is intense, a vertical band pass filter 6 passing the vertical high frequency component is selected and when no correlation is in existence in both the horizontal and vertical directions, a horizontal/vertical direction band pass filter 7 passing the high frequency component in both the horizontal/vertical directions is selected through the adaptive changeover of a selection circuit 8 and band limit is applied through the subtraction from an original signal.</p> |
