METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DECODING F2F SIGNAL

PURPOSE: To obtain a method and device for decoding an F2F signal which is read from a magnetic card. CONSTITUTION: The signal read from the card by a magnetic reading head 91 is amplified by the amplifying station 912 of high gain and discriminated by a discriminating and integrating station 913 in order to receive a binary locking signal. A start time value is set from the discriminated signal in a reference time obtaining station 917 and a phase is predicted in order to decide the right terminal of a bit cell in a phase predicting station 918. A received binary signal is made to be correlative to the combination of whole waveform marks with a possibility based on the prediction phase in a waveform mark correlative station 920 in order to generate a right bit stream. The bit stream is processed by a bit restoring station 922 forgiving the right bit stream.
