<p>PURPOSE:To permit access time over the service life of an existing battery as keeping demand for miniaturization and thinning requested for a portable computer. CONSTITUTION:A floppy disk drive and an auxiliary battery are made into units of same size. A connector connected electrically to a computer main body 11 side connector and formed in such a way that it can be connected/ disconnected to it is provided at the unit 31 of the floppy disk drive, and a terminal connected electrically to the terminal of a battery terminal board connected to a DC/DC converter on a computer main body side is provided at the unit 41 of the battery. The units can be housed alternately in the loading space 23 of the computer main body 11 generated by the making of the floppy disk drive into the unit, respectively. Thereby, it is possible to effectively use the floppy disk drive being unused after software on a floppy disk is installed.</p> |
