PURPOSE:To obtain a cheap compact finger print collation device which can collate a finger print without using a large capacity memory and an expensive memory card for storing a registered finger print. CONSTITUTION:By using not the registered finger print itself but a finger print registration card 10 obtained by copying only a feature image after image processing, a feature quantity extraction circuit 4 extracts a feature quantity to store it in a register 12. A collation circuit 9 collates the feature quantity of a live finger print obtained by the feature quantity extraction circuit 4 based on the feature image signal of the live finger print by way of a camera 2 and an image processing circuit 3 and the feature quantity of the registered finger print stored in the register 12. |
