PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the color filter which is high in productivity and low in cost and does not generate pollution with chromium. CONSTITUTION:This process for production consists of a first stage for forming inter-picture element light shielding parts 3 and peripheral light shielding parts 4 for a display part on a glass substrate 1 by a photoresist 2 into which plastic pigments are incorporated, a second stage for printing respective picture elements in such a manner that the color inks of the adjacent picture element overlap on each other in the inter-picture element light shielding parts 3 and a third stage for superposing a light shielding film of a photoresist contg. a black pigment or a light shielding film of black ink 11 by printing in the peripheral light shielding parts 4 for the display part. |
