<p>PURPOSE:To execute plotting with a desired brush pattern on a real time basis by detecting the directivity of the edge of plotting data at a plotting designation position and selecting and plotting the brush pattern corresponding to the direc tion. CONSTITUTION:An edge direction detection part 11 detects the presence or absence of the directivity of an edge part in an original picture and the direction from image data obtained by color-synthesizing respective pieces of picture data in image memories 21-23. A brush pattern reduction/rotation part 9 generates plural pieces of brush pattern data by reducing and rotating the brush pattern inputted by a brush pattern input part 28. A plotting start position generation part 7 generates a plotting position so that the plotting positions of brush pattern data become random, selects the appropriate brush pattern among the plural brush patterns generated by the brush pattern reduction/ rotation part 9 for the plotting position generated in the plotting start position generation part 7 and a plotting part 10 plots brush pattern data at the plotting position.</p> |
