<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic recording and reproducing device which can perform optimum tracking control when one part of a region of a picture is extracted and reproduced. CONSTITUTION:When one part of a region of a picture is extracted and reproduced, timing of a S/H timing pulse outputted from a S/H timing pulse generation circuit 10 in accordance with a position of the extracted one part of the region is controlled, and a continuous tracking error signal ATF is subjected to sample-and-hold with this timing by a S/H circuit 8. On the other hand, a speed detecting circuit 3 generates a speed error signal SE from a capstan speed signal generated by a capstan FG2, the ATF signal subjected to sample- and-hold is added to the speed error signal SE, and a capstan control signal SC is generated. A capstan motor 1 is controlled by the generated capstan control signal via a motor driver 7.</p> |
