<p>PURPOSE:To naturally move a cursor to a desired position as a user intends by optionally varying the proper moving speed of the cursor at a coordinate position based on the coordinate values and the displacement amount to a neutral position. CONSTITUTION:A remote controller 10 is constituted of the operation part 18 of the joy stick 13 for designating the movement direction of a cursor, a speed changeover switch 17 for selecting the moving speed oft he cursor, a 1st RAM 12 which stores input data, a 1st ROM 11 which stores a program or table controlling the operation of the remote controller 10, and a 1st central processing unit 16. The remote controller is rotated from the neutral position whose X and Y addresses indicate 0 in a positive, '1', or negative direction on all sides. The X and Y coordinate addresses indicating the coordinate values of a lever area are read out and the coordinate values and the displacement amount to the neutral position are calculated. The proper cursor moving speed at the coordinate position can optionally be varied based the displacement amount, so that operation is easily performed.</p> |
