摘要 PURPOSE:To restore the calibration error of an output signal Vsg by preventing excessive toner supply by the calibration error of the output signal Vsg as to the surface part of a photosensitive body from a P sensor obtained by combining light emitting and receiving elements. CONSTITUTION:A reference latent image is formed on the photosensitive body, the reference latent image is developed to obtain a reference developed image, and the reflection density of the reference developed image and the surface part of the photosensitive body is detected by a density detecting means 1, then the toner supply is controlled based on the ratio of the output signals as to the reference developed image to the surface part of the photosensitive body from the means 1 in this electrophotographic device. The device is provided with a control means 2 which performs calibration in the middle of standby for image forming operation so that the output signal Vsg as to the surface part of the photosensitive body from the means 1 may be a specified value, and performs a fixed quantity of toner supply regardless of the output signal from the means 1 in the middle of the standby for the image forming operation and performs the calibration again at the time of finishing the image forming operation in the case that the output signal Vsg as to the surface part of the photosensitive body from the means 1 is larger than a value different from a specified value in the middle of the standby for the image forming operation and just before or just after the image forming operation.
