PURPOSE:To prevent the power consumption of respective heaters and a copying lamp from exceeding the maximum rated power by providing the plural heaters on three fixing rollers and turning off the heater whose priority is low based on the priority stored in a turning-on order storage means so that the power consumption of the turning-on heater and the turning-on copying lamp does not exceed the set power. CONSTITUTION:When the copying lamp is turned on, the total amount of the power consumption of the wattage of the copying lamp and the wattage of the heater lamps 44a-44d which are turned on at present is calculated by a CPU 60. Then, it is judged whether the total amount of the power consumption exceeds the maximum rated power or not. When it exceeds, the heater lamp of the lowest priority stored in a RAM 62 among the turning-on heater lamps is turned off. It is judged again whether the total amount of the power consumption exceeds the maximum rated power or not. Then, such a processing is repeatedly executed until the total amount of the power consumption becomes under the maximum rated power. Besides, when it is judged that the total amount of the power consumption is under the maximum rated power, the copying lamp is turned on and a copying action is finished. |
