PURPOSE:To make image forming speed high in a state where the mechanical constitution of a device is hardly changed by switching processing speed according to the image density of an original and always achieving the ability of a machine. CONSTITUTION:Whether or not the value of the read image density is <=7% is judged(step S3). In the case <=7%, the high processing speed is selected and a condition is set by judging that the character information such as a typewritten original is main(step S4), and copying operation is performed at higher speed than in the conventional manner without changing the constitution of the machine(step S6). Since fixing ability is uncertain when the image density is high, the low processing speed decided by supposing the worst condition is selected as in the conventional manner and the condition is set(step S5), then, the copying operation is performed as in the conventional manner. |
