Cylinder head for IC engine - has two cooling water chambers, which are completely separated by wall

The cylinder head has an upper (14) and a lower cooling water chamber (11). The chambers are completely sepd. by a wall (13), which is parallel to the cylinder head base. Both chambers are formed by casting about a separate casting core. Intake and discharge channels (5,6) in the cylinder head are similarly formed by casting about a common core. The cooling water chambers are connected to separately regulated cooling water circuits. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved space-saving cooling water conduction, in IC engine cylinder head, combined with min. mfr. costs.
