The hollow profile rail consists of two tracks formed on the inside of the lower part of the rail on which a pair of rollers can run. The points or turntable is located at the intersection of a main line and a branch line, the main line (21) connecting with both diametrically opposite sides of the turntable, while the branch line (22) intersects with one side of the turntable and one section of the main line. The turntable and integral line section pivot on a central axis (A) which is a quarter of the width of the track (S) from its centre line. USE/ADVANTAGE - The points or turntable for hollow suspension rails can be adapted to form a cruciform crossing.
