Mixts. of calcium bentonite and methyl salicylate - dispersed in water are useful as simulated chemical warfare agents

The use of a mixt. (I) of a powdered adsorbate and methyl salicylate for the prepn. of an aq. dispersion as a simulated chemical warfare agent is claimed. The dispersion comprises 0.01-10 wt.% methyl salicylate, 5-20 wt.% powdered adsorbate and water. The powdered adsorbate is calcium bentonite. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is useful for the training of personnel in the detection of low levels of chemical agents that have been sprayed onto land. (I) is ecologically non-hazardous and may be easily and quickly sprayed.
