The appts. has a cannula with both sharp ends on surrounding holder, and an evacuated blood taking vessel with a pierceable, self-closing stopper. A self-closing, pierceable diaphragm (18), closing a transparent, blood monitoring chamber, for which an air venting port (21) is provided. W.r.t. the blood taking vessel (11) the diaphragm is movable in piercing direction between defined stations and defined inserting positions. The air venting port is open in the starting position, but closed in the inserting one. On a holder (14) side, facing the diaphragm, are stops (25) for the diaphragm in the starting position penetration of the patient facing end (24) of the cannula into the monitoring vessel (12). ADVANTAGE - No contact between personnel and taken blood.
