A seal for the end of cable conduits consists of a slightly tapered block of foam rubber or plastic moulding with holes of different sizes for different cable dimensions. The openings are filled with an elastically deformable material through which the individual cables are pushed. The sealing block is built up of several separate sections, the mating surfaces of the sections dividing the cable holes into equal semi-cylinders. These mating surfaces may be plane or curved. The sections are all hinged at one point on the outer periphery of the whole block by a thin film of material. There are locating pins so that the sections can all mate properly. ADVANTAGE- No auxiliary tools needed for rapid and easy assembly.
