A connecting process, in particular for connecting tables and other sheet-like objects. The process is extremely well suited, for example, for connecting panels, floor materials and other types of covering panels. The invention is based on the fact that on the edge of each object to be connected there are formed at least two wave-shaped curves which run parallel to the edge and of which one forms the basic curve and at least one has been offset in the longitudinal direction of the edge such that the curves, seen in the transverse direction of the edge, lie in an offset manner. Upon connection of the parts, the peaks are laid against the troughs of the corresponding parts, this resulting in a complete and self-contained connection both in the longitudinal and in the transverse directions. |
