Endoprosthesis, with a stem for anchoring into human bone tissue, has distance pieces (8, 10) of a bioresorbable material, to set the gap between the stem and the bone, pref. using polymers based on organic acids. USE/ADVANTAGE - The endoprosthesis distance rings maintain the required gap between the stem and the bone during and after surgery, without allowing the metal prosthesis to come into direct contact with the bone, or allowing the distance rings to remain in the body as foreign matter.
