发明名称 Flexible packing material - has antistatic protection by attaching conducting tapes with perforated air-gaps, to reduce potential
摘要 Process is claimed to mfr. lining material, with an electrically insulated layer, from a fabric or foil, and having woven electrical conducting bands. When the insulated layer has been attached to the lining material, it is then perforated. The appts. is also claimed. Packing loose goods into flexible containers may involve dust, damp or gases to create an explosive situation. This is avoided by reducing the sheet or brush discharge from static build-up during the loading or unloading, caused by friction against the insulated surfaces. A woven flexible lining may have a waterproof layer of plastic foil attached to it. By weaving a conductive tape, and attaching this in a zig-zag manner across the fabric, the surface of potential static is reduced to an area which will not build up to a dangerous voltage level. To create a connection between the plastic foil (2) which is an electrically insulating layer, and the conductive tapes (3) attached to the woven lining material (6), the combined material is brought around an insulated roller (4) and a conductive roller (7) which is earthed. ADVANTAGE - The conducting bands reduce the area of surfaec subject to static, and hence reducing the potential. The perforations permit conductivity to the bands, to and from the interior. Explosion hazards are eliminated. The high tension perforating method is more economic than laser treatment.
