PURPOSE:To simplify assembly work of a gear case and eliminate insufficient lubrication of bearing due to inferior assembly, by forming its inner wall at the upper corner around the bearing with a certain curvature in cross section. CONSTITUTION:A work reduction gear has a worm shaft and worm wheel below the shaft in the upper portion of a gear case 1 to lubricate bearings 3 of the worm shaft with lubricating oil scattered by engagement of these components. The inner wall 4 at the upper corner where oil is especially splashed is formed with a certain curvature in cross section. When the gear case 1 is stepped 6 so as to receive the thrust force of the bearing 3, grooves 7 for feeding oil directly in the bearings are made on the gear case 1. This construction can provide sufficient lubrication of the bearings 3 with the mold of the gear case 1. |
