A process for making a lamellar spring 10 for mangles and the lamellar spring so obtained is described. In this embodiment each individual suitably shaped and curved blade 14 is anchored to base belt 12 by riveting. This makes it possible to obtain an attachment which is secure and reliable over the course of time. Improvements in the removal of moisture and constancy in the elastic properties of the entire spring so obtained are also achieved.
