PURPOSE:To provide a board transfer device enhanced in operation efficiency by a method wherein a setup change operation is quickly carried out for boards of different sizes. CONSTITUTION:A guide displacement detection means 14 which detects the displacement of a slave guide 8a of a front stage conveyer mechanism 3 is provided, and a control means 20, which sets a slave guide 8b at a position correspondent to the detection signal of the guide displacement detection means 14 by controlling a motor 9 which drives the slave guide 8b of a rear stage conveyer mechanism 4, is provided. When the slave guide 8a is displaced corresponding to the width of a board 1 to transfer, the control means 20 displaces the slave guide 8b to a position correspondent to the detection signal by the guide displacement detection means 14 by controlling the motor 9. Therefore, the slave guide 8b of the rear stage conveyer mechanism 4 is set in position so as to be equal in width to the board 1 following the displacement of the slave guide 8a of the front stage conveyer mechanism 3, so that a setup change can be smoothly carried out to enhance a board transfer device in operation efficiency. |
