PURPOSE:To manufacture in a short aging time an electrode plate for a lead- acid battery, having high bonding strength between a collector and active material. CONSTITUTION:A collector of lead or lead alloy is exposed to acetic acid vapor to form a basic lead acetate [Pb.(OH) (CH3COO)] on a surface thereof, and this collector is exposed to carbon dioxide gas to form white lead (2 Pb CO3.Pb (OH)2 on the surface thereof. The collector, on the surface of which the white lead is formed, is charged with active material and subjected to aging. |
