PURPOSE:To develop a saw blade provided with excellent cutting performance and durability for cutting an iron steel material by means of hot rooling by a method wherein edge portions and blade root portions are circularly formed integrally by the same metal, the circular body is welded to a center portion of metal with excel- lent toughness, and the edge portions are quenched and tempered. CONSTITUTION:A discoid rotary saw blade is constituted by edge portions 1, blade root portions 2 and a center portion 3. The edge portions 1 and the blade root portions 2 are manufactured by using a steel material containing 0.55-1.5% C, 1.5% or less Si, 2% or less Mn or further at least one kind of 5% or less Cr, 3% or less Ni, 2% or less Mo, 2% or less V, formed in shapes that are divided into a plurality of fan-shaped pieces by means of cold working after the steel material is forged, hot-rolled and annealed, and circularly made up integrally in circumferential portions. The center portion 3 is produced by a steel material with excellent toughness containing 0.5% or less C, and the ringed edge portions and blade root portions are welded and unified. Edges are cutting-worked before quenching quenched and further subject to annealing at a low temperature and annealing at a high temperature continuously in the edge portions 1, and the edge portions are provided with hardness. |
