An implement eg. a cosmetics brush has a hollow handle (1) and centrally positioned at the base of the handle is a stem (2) on which is mounted a cup (3) which supports and secures a soft hair brush (4). Positioned within the handle (1) is a telescopically slidable sleeve (5) with a base having an aperture (6) through which the stem (2) passes and movable from the position shown in figure 1 to a position in which the sleeve (5) lies completely around the brush (4)(figure 3). A cap member (7) locates over the brush (4) and the sleeve (5) when in the forward position and engages the handle (1) at joint (8). The construction enables the cap (7) to be fitted to the handle (1) without damaging the brush (4). The implement could also be a culling device eg. a knife. <IMAGE> |
