A power circuit comprises a low heatconductivity circuit board with a power device, such as a power transistor, mounted thereon, and a high heat conductivity heat spreader in thermal contact with the device, extending over an area of the circuit board substantially greater than the area occupied by the device. The heat spreader has a surface for separable thermal conduct with a heat sink, and may be of copper. Quick-release fastening means hold the heat spreader to the heat sink and the power circuit is thereby removable as a module for servicing in the field. The circuit may be a RF transmitter power amplifier in a cellular radio base station. <IMAGE> |
