<p>PURPOSE:To provide feeding and separating device for recording sheet to prevent a recording sheet in double feed condition from being fed inside a device by detecting the double feeding at the time of occurrence of double feeding before starting of sheet feed and performing required processes such as separating process, machine stop process, etc. CONSTITUTION:In a sheet feeding and separating device to take out one by one the uppermost recording sheet 1a of recording sheet bundle 1 set in a sheet feed cassette, separate, and transfer to an image forming section, a right-angle direction sheet feed roller 22 and separating claw 2 to move and separate the uppermost recording sheet in a direction at a right angle relative to a transfer direction of the recording sheet, and a double feed detecting sensor 25 to detect the existence of double feed of the recording sheet are provided. When the recording sheet is in double feed condition, a separating means 29 projecting to a transfer route, a sheet feed roller 3 to transfer the recording sheet to a separating means, and a control section to control these operations are provided.</p> |
