<p>PURPOSE:To generate sturdy and precise fixation of the body of a golf club head with a neck member made of metal by inserting a pin through a pin hole in the head body and a hole provided in the neck member inserting part when a shaft is to be fixed to the head body through the neck member. CONSTITUTION:The shell 1a of the body 1 of a golf club head is made of a material chiefly consisting of fiber-reinforced plastics, wherein a shaft hole 4 is formed on the heel side of the shell while a tail plug 6 is mounted on the sole side 5. A hollow insert part 7 of a neck member 2 of bent neck type, etc., is inserted through this shaft hole 4. The shaft hole 4 in the head body 1 is fixed to the inserting part 2 of the neck member 2 with the aid of adhesives 9 and a pin 10 consisting in a rigid metal rod or resin rod. That is, the pin 10 is inserted through a pin hole 11 formed at the side face on the heel side of the head body 1 and a hole 12 formed in the inserting part 7 of the neck member 2, which achieves sturdy and precise fixation of the two 1, 2 to each other.</p> |
