PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten an air bag by eliminating conventional vent holes and reducing possibilities of burns of occupant and pollution of a compartment due to waste gas, while reducing the weight of the air bag itself and a receiving space. CONSTITUTION:Non-woven fabrics 1 having a heat resisting fiber layer containing 25% or more of stainless steel fibers 2 disposed on one surface of heat resisting synthetic fiber fabrics are intervolved and formed by high pressure jet stream without using a binder. The non-woven fabrics 1 is adjusted to have 20-500cc/cm<2>/sec of air permeability under 0.2kg/cm<2> of pressure, so that it is used for a base cloth of the air bag, particularly inflator mounting side without separately providing vent holes. |
