PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility and fastness of a magenta dye image to light by incorporating a specific magenta dye forming coupler and specific compd. into a titled material. CONSTITUTION:This material contains the magenta color image forming coupler expressed by the formula I and the compd. expressed by the formula XII. In the formula I, Z denotes the non-metallic atomic group necessary for forming a nitrogenous heterocycle and the ring formed by Z may contain a substituent. X denotes a hydrogen atom or substituent which can be desorbed by the reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent. R denotes a hydrogen atom or substituent. In the formula [XII], R12-R14 denote a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, alkenyl group, aryl group or cycloalkyl group, respectively. However, R12 and R13 are not simultaneously the hydrogen atom. The coupler is usually usable within a 1X10<-3>-1 mole range for each 1 mole of silver halide. |
