摘要 PURPOSE:To perform continuous and satisfactory welding in controlled follow-up welding in which a torch is advanced and is corrected in positional deviation with respect to a weld line by controlling a robot so as to make follow-up welding even during operation of a positioner for supporting materials to be welded. CONSTITUTION:A welding torch in robot welding makes welding while the positional deviation thereof is corrected along a teaching weld line. The torch may fail to follow up the weld line and produce a defective weld zone when the positioner for materials to be welded is operated on account of interference between the torch and the materials to be welded or the like. The operation of the positioner is transmitted to a torch control device and the torch control added with said operation is executed even during the operation of the position by which the follow-up by the robot is continuously controlled. The materials to be welded are thus welded under satisfactory follow-up by the robot even while the positional attitude of the materials to be welded is successively changed by the positioner. The materials are thus satisfactorily and continuously welded.
