PURPOSE:To automatically and continuously inspect a plate-like continuously object moving in one direction for internal voids in a non-contacting state. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with a non-contact temperature detector 30 which detects the temperature at the surface 3 of a continuous gypsum board 2 continuous moves in one direction on a conveyor 1 and arithmetic section which discriminates the presence of a void section 40 in the board 2 from the output variation of the detector 30. The presence of the section 40 in the board 2 can be discriminated from the fluctuation of the surface temperature of the board 2, because the thermal constant of the part where the section 40 exists is different from that at other parts and the surface temperature at the part is different from that at other parts when the section 40 exists in the board 2.
