PURPOSE:To obtain a method for efficiently producing an amino compound from an alicyclic alcohol. CONSTITUTION:The method for producing an amino compound, especially an alicyclic amine such as cyclohexylamine is to aminate an alibyclic alcohol in the presence of a ruthenium-based catalyst in the coexistence of water.
