PURPOSE:To improve the oxidation resistnacs, slag resistance, spalling resistance and low heat conductivity by incorporating anthracter coal containing the sepecifc quantity of fixed carbon and volatile matter as an aggregate. CONSTITUTION:The anthracite coal which is >=90wt.% fixed carbon, <=3wt.% a volatile matter, >=1.62 the apparent sepcific gravity and >=1mm the particle size is obtained by selecting from a carbon source as the aggregate. Then, 3-20wt.% anthacite coal, the alumina souce of an electrode alumina, etc., incorporating >=50wt.% Al2O3 as necessary, and the binder of a phonol resin, etc., for SiC Mg, etc., are kneaded and molded to obtain a molded product. Then, the molded product is subjected to a heat treatment, etc., at the temp. <=300 deg.C, to produce the brick for molten iron preteatment vessel. |
