PURPOSE:To make it easier to control the temperature of fluid flowing out of an outlet pipe of a header by interposing a temperature control unit provided with a control valve mechanism for controlling by-pass flow rate for the side of a heating tube for a fluid flowing into the heating tube between a cylinder portion with a heating tube and the header. CONSTITUTION:A dry heat exchanger comprises a cylinder portion 2 including therein heating tubes 1... and a header 4 with a flow passage partition plate 3. In this case, a temperature control device 16 is interposed between the portion 2 and the header 4. The device 16 is constituted by a short pipe 20 having therein a horizontal partition wall 21, a disk-shaped valve plate 23 for opening and closing a circular fluid passage 22 formed in the wall 21, and a valve spindle 19 for rotatably supporting the valve plate 23. By driving and controlling the spindle 19 by a control motor 17 through an arm linkage 18, the valve plate 23 is opened to control the flow rate of a by-pass fluid 6c of a low temperature fluid to be heated 6a, thereby controlling the temperature of a fluid 6b flowing out of the header 4. |
