SOLID INK SUPPLY APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE:To improve average printing speed by shortening a supplying time of solid ink and minuaturize a head in a hot melt type ink jet printer. CONSTITUTION:A trigger rod mounted on an upper portion of a print head moving back and forth and an ink wheel mounted on a lower portion of an ink tank 1 are so disposed that the trigger rod comes into contact with the ink wheel when the trigger rod is in the opening condition. When contacting, the trigger rod rotates the ink wheel so that an ink is supplied into an ink reservoir.
