It would be desirable to be able to offer consumers a charcoal grill with lighter which is environmentally friendly and which from the private-economic and socio- economic viewpoint is a better alternative than charcoal grills having lighting fluid as the ignition agent. This desire has been satisfied by a conventional grill provided with a fixedly mounted lighting box 2 on the bottom side of the grill base 4. No lighting fluid is required. Just two pages of newspaper, crumpled up into two balls, which are placed in the lighting box and lit. The grill base is provided with a perforated surface 3 which allows lighting from below and a primary air supply to the charcoal bed during lighting and grilling. <IMAGE> |
