PURPOSE:To obtain the title particles suitable for obtaining a molding excellent in softness, toughness, tensile properties, etc., by using a noncrosslinked, linear ultralow-density polyethylene as the base resin. CONSTITUTION:The title particles are produced by using as the base resin a noncrosslinked, linear ultralow-density polyethylene having a density of 0.88-0.915 g/cm<3> and a melt flow rate of 0.1-10g/10min and, e.g. by dispersing particles of the resin in water in a pressure vessel, adding a volatile blowing agent to the dispersion, heating it to about the m.p. of the resin to thereby impregnate the particles with the agent under a pressure higher than the vapor pressure of the agent, and spouting the mixture of the particles and water into a zone with a pressure lower than that in the vessel while keeping the temp. and pressure in the vessel constant. |
