The towbar, designed to connect to a semi-trailer by two detachable pivots (3), has an adjustable articulated joint (4) at the point where it adjoins the lowered chassis of the semi-trailer. The adjustable joint consists of the two pivots (3) and a rotary stop (5) which is situated to the rear of the pivots which cooperates with a thrust surface on the towbar (1). The rotary stop (5) is preferably in the form of a cam which is fixed to an axle and has three thrust surfaces. It can be turned by a key to set it in its different positions. ADVANTAGE - More convenient height adjustment.
