Each detector is used with a maintenance block (1) to be welded to a chassis. The block (1) has a hole (2) into which is placed an end of the cylindrical body (3) of a strain gauge. At the other end of the strain gauge is a narrower-diameter cylindrical neck (4) onto which an end piece (5) fits. The hole (6) in the end piece has a diameter greater than that of the strain gauge neck (4). The side of the end piece facing the gauge presses against the shoulder (7) of the gauge and the upper face (16) presses via a damper (8) against the load platform (9). All the detectors are positioned on the chassis via the maintenance block (1) in their operating position.. USE/ADVANTAGE - Maintaining and fixing strain gauges on low floor-clearance warehouse palette transporters. Permits ease of fitting and removal for maintenance by simple demounting of corresponding gauge. Absorbs lateral parasitic and frontal forces.
