The invention relates to a process and device for setting the filling level in filling machines for vessels, in which a probe dipping into the vessel measures the level and the filling level is adjusted according to the probe signal. In order to know the actual level at any time, a probe generates a continuous measurement signal which is substantially proportional to the level. Here, an elongated probe body dips into the liquid in the vessel to be filled, whereby several measuring points are connected via several circuit components to an electronic evaluation system and an earth contact dips most deeply into the vessel to be filled. It is possible with this process to obtain a virtually steady signal by means of a plurality of measuring points so that a time-dependent signal function S (t) is produced, from the slope of which it is possible at any time t to derive the filling rate. |
